BIRTH DAY

I worked on this layout for hours this evening. Here it is 3 a.m. and I finally finished it. I think it was worth all the time I put into it, I'm quite pleased with the end results.
This picture was taken almost 17 years ago on the day my daughter was born. I don't know if it's because she's growing up so fast or what, but lately I want to scrap older pictures. My baby is soon to be a senior in high school, YIKES!
The print paper I used is K & Co and the solid is the mariposa card stock stack. My wonderful friend found me a scrabble game at a second hand store so I used some of the tiles in this layout. The flowers I made out of silk, with the heat gun and put a pearl in the center. (I'm having so much fun making these flowers) I tied some jute in places to add a little something, a bit of lace, inked the edges and called it a night.
Click on the pictures to make them larger. Let me know what you think!! Shari

  10. Shari your baby is precious!!! The layout is so pretty, and with your handmade flowers it adds that special touch for a beautiful baby girl. It's great that we can capture those moments when our children were so little. I know how you feel about your daughter growing up. Mine will be 25 soon. TFS
