Wow, It's about time don't you think? Lately I've been in a funk and have no ambition to make anything. And when I do what to make something, life seems to get in the way.
Well last night I attended a U-Stream live with Laura Denison. Check out her blog : following the paper trail . blogspot.com
(I just love her projects, she has so much talent.)
So today I decided to give the wreath she was making a try. The sun flower pieces were all cut by hand, pleated and inked, the flowers were cut with the Tim Holtz die, tattered florals. The leaves were all cut on my cricut and also inked. I think it will look cute hanging on my front door, what do you think? You know I love your comments!
Shari, great job! I think it'll look equally as good hanging on my front door! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteLife does seem to get in our way sometimes, doesn't it?!!! I know the feeling; it'll pass and you'll be back to your self in no time. Take care, my friend!
That's gorgeous! Beautiful flowers and leaves, in lovely colours, and exactly the right number so that it's understated, tasteful and not overdone! A really lovely piece of work...
ReplyDeleteI know EXACTLY what you mean about life getting in the way of crafting - in my case it's my health (or lack of it) that keeps me out of my ARTHaven and unable to put all my millions of ideas into practice! I did get in there today though and feel GREAT about it!!!
I'm about to get a Cricut and am loving your blog... Always eager for hints and tips and can't wait to get started with it!
Love it!!!! I want to make one!!!
ReplyDeleteShari, love it! Love the colors, great choice. I always buy three-ring albums where I can fit lots of pages and it doesn't interfere with all my bulkiness. I usually buy them at Hobby Lobby when they are 50% off. (like this week!!!)
ReplyDeleteYAY YOU!!! Your wreath is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteTrying to play catch-up on all the blogs I missed while I was away on vacation!
Shari,
ReplyDeleteso happy to see you are back at craftin'. Don't ya hate when life gets in the way of our scappy time.
Love the wreath
