PLATES I VINYLED

I made these plates for gifts at Christmas. I sold about 10 of them and also made some for gifts. I love what you can do with vinyl.
I bought the charger plates at Wal-mart, used Storybook cart and cut out in vinyl. What do you think? Leave me a comment.

Check out the Christmas presents my daughter made.

I'm so proud of my daughter, she made these gifts for her friends.
She first etched Friends on the glass, picked out a quote to fit each friend and finally added a photo she matted. And voila she had some very nice gifts that didn't cost me a arm and a leg. YEAH!!!

My Old Fashioned Christmas Card

I just finished making my Christmas Cards. I like anything old fashioned, so I made an old time Christmas Card. It's a standard A 2 card.
I used Graphic 45 paper. (I just love this paper, it reminds me so much of the old days.
I cuttle bugged the top red part using a snow flake folder.
I used glossy accents on the middle insert that say Merry Christmas and used pop dots to adhere it.
I cut the scallop with Accent Essentials Cricut Cart. at 2 3/4 inch.
I inked the edges of everything.
I typed a verse on my computer.
And finally I added little flat back pearls to the edges of the scallop.
I hope you like it, let me know what you think.
(Sorry the pics. aren't that great, It really is prettier in person.)

My Scrapping Space

Here is a slide show of my scrapping space. My space is in the basement and not actually a room. The canisters you see contain my crocheted flowers, I learned to make on-line. The rack you see that has acrylic shelves, my friend found at a store going out of business. ( It holds my scrapbooks, glass items for etching, supplies for odd projects, my cuttlebug folders, rubber stamps, mats etc.) My cardstock paper rack I bought at a hallmark shop going out of business. I ordered acrylic paper trays on eBay. It spins and is on rollers, so it's very convenient. As you can see my E has a cover on it I got from Renique, it's great! The plastic tower you see with the drawers holds all my paper scraps. ( I have certain colors in each drawer.) The white cabinet with drawers holds all my misc supplies and on the left all my patterned paper. The white rack with the small jars, I found at a second hand store and it holds all my brads, buttons etc.It was a spice rack and I'm looking for another one of these but no luck so far. And the dogggie you see in the background, is my maggie all grown up, she's 1 yr. old now.
Click on a picture if you want to see it larger.

Letterman Jacket

This is a 2 pg. layout I did of my daughter in her letterman jacket. I love how it looks so much like her actual jacket. Gotta love the cricut! I used Sports Mania for the jacket. The color is off on the pictures. The jackets are purple and gold.

Family Layout

This is my layout I submitted to the Gypsy Challenge. I didn't win, but I'm happy with the layout. I used both Gypsy Font and Gypsy Wanderings to do this layout. I used my Gypsy to weld all the leaves to make the border. ( I inked the edges of all the cuts to add dimension.) The Family and 2009 are cut with the gypsy font.

PURSE CARD

This is a card I made for a friends daughter for her birthday, (she loves purses). I got the idea from someone on the cricut chat line. Sorry I don't remember who, I tweeked it and made my own version.

Etching glass with the cricut

I etched this jar using my cricut to make a template out of vinyl, applied etching cream and made a bank. As you can see no-one donates to the cause, but it's sitting in my craft area in case anyone get's the urge. I used the Storybook cartridge for this project.

Layout of Maggie Mae

I did this layout of Maggie Mae a while back , I used my cricut to cut the letters and the heart.

Why do I want a blog?

I've decided I needed a place to show off my creations with my cricut. I got my cricut expression a year ago this Christmas from my wonderful husband.
In the last year I've become OBSESSED. ( Or so my husband and daughter say.)
I'm either on the cricut message board, in my scrap room, on my gypsy or shopping for supplies.
I look at it this way, I could be addicted to drugs or alcohol. My family's comeback to this statement is: it would be alot cheaper. HA!
